This is absolutely exciting! I've always felt a sense of envy when I would learn about all of the fabulous deals at Dollar General, only to find out they did not exist in California. Well, as of now there are at least 4 stores open, and another 46 on their way! That means a total of 50 stores in our beautiful Golden State!
As of now, there are three Dollar General's open in Bakersfield and one in Merced, with a few more due to open in the Fresno area in the near future. Within the next few weeks, I'll most likely be making a trip to Sacramento. That's when I plan to visit the store located at 1729 West Highway 140 in Merced. This location is actually a Dollar General Market and should be interesting to visit!
Having Dollar General in California is definitely great news for everyone faced with much tighter budgets than before. Dollar General offers many different items such as clothing, name brand products, as well as private label brands, household items, health and beauty, and some even carry food at extremely affordable prices!
