My Walgreens Shopping Trip: June 25, 2011

I paid a total of $3.23 for these items
O.k., so I know that my shopping trips are not anything spectacular....the point of my posts is to show you that it is possible to purchase the things you need for very little money.

Here's how my shopping trip played out:

  • Purchased 2 dozen eggs (reg. $1.96 ea.) - paid $0.99 each with Walgreens in-ad coupon = $1.98
  • Purchased 2 Ecotrin Low-dose Aspirin, 45 ct. (reg. $3.99 ea.) - paid $0.99 with raincheck from a previous sale. Used (2) $1 off manufacturer coupons = + $0.02 (yes, I made $0.02 instead of paying!)
  • Purchased 1 weekend newspaper (for the coupons and ads!) = $1
My subtotal was $2.96 + $0.27 sales tax = $3.23.  That's a 73% savings!
